Getting together, celebrating values and traditions to strengthen the soul of our village of Aussois. Passing on a cultural heritage, encouraging intergenerational links and celebrating together what's important. The soul of a mountain village! Aussois Traditional Village Festival.
On August 14 and 15, Aussois celebrates and revives its traditions with a variety of activities for young and old throughout the day and evening. A unique event that will take you back in time! In Aussois, traditions are far from being ancient history. With a big fair! Program for this festival organized by all Aussois associations, volunteers and various Aussois structures. The soul of a mountain resort village that loves to welcome and share its history, its cultural and natural heritage.
Every year, thousands of people take part in this unique and spectacular festival in Aussois!
2024 program
Wednesday, August 14, 2024 :
All-day raffle
From 9 a.m.: Sale of brioches and pains de campagne in the communal oven by the Ski Club Aussois (until the last brioche is sold, no reservations required).
- Ticket sales for the evening meal on the Place (subject to availability).
- Glow sticks for the evening torchlight retreat (€2). All day at various points in the heart of the village
- 5pm Opening of the Buvette des associations aussoyennes on La Place from 5pm to 3am, with traditional snacks (from 9pm).
- 6pm Musical aperitif with the Accord'Oé band on the square
- 7pm: Traditional meal "diots - polenta - cheese - blueberry pavé" by the Aussoy associations on the village square (last service at 8:30pm). Reservations from 7/08 at Musée l'Arche d'Oé: Adults 15€; Children under 12 12€ (non-refundable, take-away service in case of bad weather).
- 7pm: Batucada "Timb'Alu" from Saint-Michel de Mne wanders through the village.
- 9:30pm: Torchlight procession. Meet in front of the church with your torches/luminous sticks to accompany the Clique des Pompiers d'Aussois parade towards Plan Champ.
- 10pm: Fireworks at Plan Champ. Return to the village square with the Clique des Pompiers d'Aussois.
- 10.30pm: DJ LEXS Dj Set with sparks and smoke cannons. The heart of the village turns into a giant dancefloor! Dance until 3am to the sounds of madness!
Thursday, August 15, 2024 :
- 9:30 a.m. Mass in the village square, followed by a procession in traditional costume to the church. Cakes for sale at the end of the procession.
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: "La T'choupa" Flying eco-carousel for children aged 1 to 11, with free access. Powered by human energy and recycled materials. Towards the church
- From 11am: Sale of pizzas in the communal oven by the Ski Club Aussois (no reservations, until the last pizza is sold).
- 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.: Aussois associations open their refreshment stands with traditional snacks on the square (from midday).
- 11:30 am: Children's show by the Aussois folk group "Lo Z'Oërin" and the guest band "La lyre grégorienne de Jarrier".
- 1pm to 6pm: Big fair in the heart of the village. On the program: masts, nutcrackers, candy wheel, bouldering contest, biathlon, zip line, slackline, chamboule tout, wheel of fortune, angling, fishing for prizes, weighing the barillon, envelopes, darts, PGHM, ring toss, sweets and doughnuts and much more... many prizes to be won in the kermesse - Tickets on sale all day at various points in the village.
- 3pm Parade of Aussois firefighters in Empire dress, the Compagnie des Guides, Mauriennaises in costume, Aussoyens and folk groups. From Notre Dame de la Salette to the village square.
- 4pm: Performance by the "Lo Z'Oërin" folk group and the guest band "La lyre grégorienne de Jarrier".
- Helicopter hoisting demonstration with the PGHM: Peloton de gendarmerie de haute montagne specialized in delicate and dangerous interventions in high mountains (subject to availability of the PGHM team). In direct contact with the pilot. Please respect the instructions and safety perimeter on site.
Traditions: "La Victoire" firemen's pump, songs, accordion, August 15 pottery sale, games of skill, festival...
