Since January 2014, the Community of Municipalities Terra Modana replaced former intercommunal Union Township Modane.
It includes the seven municipalities in the canton: Modane, furnaces, Le Freney, Avrieux, Villarodin-Bourget, Aussois, Saint Andrew.
His core competencies are sanitation, management of sporting and cultural facilities (gym, pool, theater), the management of the resort of La Norma, youth politics, economy and more.
