IN THE AFTERNOON, en route to Valloire: visit the Fort du Télégraphe, a few steps from the pass. At 1,570 m altitude, a panorama
exceptional is offered to you above a cliff overlooking Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne. The fort owes its name to the presence of a Chappe telegraph signal tower built there.
